Welcome to Eden Village
Long before Bar Harbor became one of the most popular destinations on the East Coast, the town was known simply as Eden*. Defined as a "paradise" or "place of pristine or abundant natural beauty," all visitors agree Eden (or Bar Harbor, as it is now known) is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Eden Village Motel & Cottages is located in Bar Harbor, on Mount Desert Island, just 5 minutes from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. Set back from Route 3, Eden Village is comprised of 11 cottages and a 10 unit motel building set upon 25 areas of carefully landscaped property. The property features its own private pond with free pedal boats, fishing, basketball, a playground and a private 1 mile nature walk.
Among the most unique amenities in Eden Village are our cottages. Each is different and can accommodate between 2 - 6 people, depending on the unit selected. Many of our cottages have a working fireplace and all have their own kitchen, picnic table and barbecue grill.

Welcome to Eden Village! Thank you for visiting our website. 2010 marks the beginning of our second season here at Eden Village. We purchased the property in May of 2009 from Bob & Gail Allen. Bob and Gail worked hard at Eden Village for over 20 years and built a wonderful reputation with repeat customers and wonderful reviews. We welcome back those customers who have been coming here for years and hope that we will continue to meet all of your expectations. For those of you who have never stayed with us, we hope that you will choose Eden Village for your vacation and return for years to come.
We have been busy all winter renovating the motel rooms and we hope you find them to be comfortable and inviting. We have replaced all the mattresses & pillows in the motel rooms, as well as given them all a fresh coat of paint. The ceilings have been replaced and the décor has been updated. Instead of tables and chairs in the kitchenettes we have replaced them with bars and stools. We’ll be posting before and after photos in the photo gallery area of our website soon. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with our new look.
We have made a few minor changes to our cottages this year and hope to renovate these during the winter of 2010-2011.
